Spring Wishlist: What I Want for Spring

Spring Wishlist: What I Want for Spring

Spring has finally, finally, FINALLY sprung! Hallelujah! I don’t think I could handle another day of winter. I am so ready to spring clean my entire place, go through my closet, move all my heavy sweaters and coats to the back and make room for some spring pieces. And, in addition to bringing back my spring clothes and items from last year, I’m also lusting over a few new things, as well.

Spring 2019 Wish list

Enter, my spring lust list:

  1. Lightweight jumpsuit/romper I love a good jumpsuit. They’re an outfit all-in-one, plus they are super comfy and easy to throw on and run errands in, or dress up a bit and wear in the evening. They are also great as a travel outfit or a bathing suit cover up. Some of the ones I love: Carina Romper, Strapless Cover-Up Jumpsuit, Cali Girl Jumpsuit.

  2. Straw Hat A classic straw Panama hat is a spring/summer staple. I’ve had my eye on this rag & bone one for two years now so I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and snag it this year.

  3. Sweat suit I know matching sweat suits give some of us major Juicy Couture circa 2005 flashbacks, but along with the upgraded athleisure wear trend, I’m seeing more and more matching sweat suits and I for one think they are chic AF. Some of my fav sets: Splits59 Apres Pullover and Apres Sweatpant, DG Sweatsuit, Cotton Citizen The Brooklyn Hoodie and The Brooklyn Sweatpant.

  4. Round, straw crossbody bag I started seeing this trend pop up last year, and just love how summery and girly it is. Plus, you can easily find these bags for under $100. Some options I love: Mini Cooper Round Bag, Straw Canteen Crossbody Bag, Alice Tote, Kate Leather & Straw Circle Bag, Rattan Circle Bag.

  5. Girly wrap dress Whether I’m off to brunch or going out with friends at night, as the weather gets warmerI love to wear a cute, spring dress. And wrap dresses are always comfy and super wearable. Throw on some cute heels or even sneakers and a leather jacket and you’re ready to go. Some that I like: Kelly Patterned Asymmetrical Wrap Dress, Larissa Mini Dress, Lili Wrap Mini Dress.

  6. Self bronzer Before I’m ready to slip into a bikini, ya girl needs some color. I’m very pale (like verrrrrry, verrrrrrrry pale) and I’m fine with that, but I would like to have just the hint of a tan going on. I’ve done a spray tan before and loved it, but I’ve seen so many people rave about self tanners and they seem so easy. Some brands I have my eye on: St. Tropez 'Self Tan' Classic Bronzing Mousse, Clarins Self Tanning Milky-Lotion for Face & Body, Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish.

  7. A belt bag I already own two fanny packs (which I absolutely love), but now I’m wanting a true belt bag. I know the two terms are somewhat interchangeable, but my fanny packs are more the 80s/90s style and shape, and to me the belt bags are more structured, smaller and can be worn as a belt or higher up on your waist. Some of the styles I love: Atlas Belt Bag, Hip Shot Belt Bag, Pebbled Leather Belt Bag, Blythe Pebbled Belt Bag, Dwight Belt.

  8. Cut-off jean shorts In anticipation for summer, I’m on the hunt for the perfect pair of jean shorts. I like my shorts to be slightly high-waisted, pretty short cut, light to medium wash with some distressing (yeah, I clearly know what I like). Some styles I’m considering: AGOLDE Jaden Short, GRLFRND Cindy High Rise-Cut Off Short, Levi’s 501 Short, Free People Sofia Short.

  9. Bikinis Spring isn’t really pool season where I live, but a girl can dream, right? I’m daydreaming of sippin’ Palomas poolside with a big hat and shades and no one can stop me. And the only thing more fun than lounging in a cute bikini is lounging in a new, cute bikini. Amiright?Bathing suits are kinda like jeans - ya gotta try out a bunch and find the right brands and shapes that work for your body - but my two fav brands are L*Space and Frankies. Some styles I like: Tara Ribbed Bikini Top in High Tide, Estella Classic Bikini Bottoms, Juju Top (I NEED this) and Juju Bottom, Greer Top, Drew Bottom.

  10. Leather jacket Spring can definitely be a transition phase in terms of the weather, so a great leather jacket is a definite must. I’ve had my eye on this Madewell Moto one for a couple months now, but some other options: Topshop Rosa Biker Jacket, Allsaints Cargo Leather Biker Jacket, Lamarque Donna Jacket.
