Recipe Files: Matcha Collagen Latte
There is nothing better than a warm, frothy, caffeinated beverage first thing in the morning or as a nice afternoon pick-me-up. This matcha latte has all the wonderful benefits of matcha plus the added boost of collagen. It’s super easy to make, has minimal ingredients and tastes absolutely delicious. Matcha Is packed with antioxidants, boosts you metabolism, is rich in vitamins, enhances mood and aids in concentration. The 10 grams of collagen helps you maintain youthful skin, strong bones and healthy joints, all while keeping you full.
I like to make mine with unsweetened almond milk and a touch of raw honey, but any milk works. And the touch of cinnamon really adds a little something special. If you make it at home, leave a comment below and let me know what you think!
1 scoop Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen
1/4 cup boiling water
3/4 cup milk of choice, steamed
1 t coconut oil
1 t honey or sweetener of choice
cinnamon, if desired
Mix collagen powder with boiling water until powder is dissolved. Add coconut oil, honey, steamed milk and cinnamon. Blend in a blender or using a hand mixer or electric whisk until everything is well-mixed and your latte is nice and frothy. Pour into a mug and enjoy!
